UM24 crafts its tent stakes out of steel, and the tip is extremely sharp so it can easily cut through any type of ground that you’re on. A slim design also helps to contribute to this ease of use, and the plastic head on top is a nice touch for quickly looping any tie downs on your tent.

SE’s 9NRC10’s stakes are a nice alternative to the UM24 option, and on the top is both a hook and rope-stringing eyelet for securely anchoring your tent into the ground once you’ve found a place to rest for the night after a long day of walking.
There are milled points on the bottom of each stake, and thanks to this, you shouldn’t have any difficulty at all digging through dirt with. The head of the stake is also more than wide enough so that you have ample surface area for hammering it in with a mallet.
The SE stakes measure in at 10.5-inches long, making them half an inch longer than the UM24 ones. These are available in both a 10 and 20 pack, and if you want to stretch your dollars as far as you can, you’re better off going with the 20-pack.

We recently came across TNH’s tent steaks when working on this guide, and after testing out the stakes for some time, we came away very pleasantly surprised. TNH’s stakes are made entirely out of aluminum, and this allows them to strike a nice balance of being both lightweight and extremely durable.
TNH opted for a tri-beam design here, and this enables the stakes to have some of the best holding power that you can find. They may not look all that different at first, but in the real world, this design move is one that we’d love to see in more and more stakes going forward.

Speaking of stakes that glow in the dark, this is a feature that’s also found with SE’s 910NRC10. Rather than using a rope like TNH, SE’s stakes have a glow in the dark plastic head that still works very, very well. And, along with it’s glow in the dark function, this head also has a stringing eyelet so you can have maximum versatility for anchoring your tent into the ground.
These stakes measure 10.5-inches in length, and the metal peg has a very sharp square-cut that works extremely well for penetrating virtually any kind of ground. Also found with the head is a large surface area that makes it super simple for hammering the stakes into the ground when you’re ready to do so.
The 10 pack for over eleven dollars isn’t the cheapest that you can find, but the price that’s being asked is more than reasonable when you consider the durability and glow in the dark feature that the 910NCR10 brings to the table.

To wrap up this list, the RamPro Tent Garden Stakes are a fantastic choice for people who just want a lot of bare bones tent stakes for not a lot of money.
For a total of 40 different stakes, you’ll pay just a little less than fifteen dollars — meaning that you’re getting a lot better value than what you’ll find with the other stakes on this list.
RamPro’s stakes are pretty basic in design, featuring an aluminum design with rust-resistance and a decently sharp edge. They’ll go into the ground without too much trouble, but you won’t find any glow in the dark features or a plastic head for more options when securing your tent to the ground.
These tradeoffs are to be expected considering just how many stakes you’re getting for such a low price, and while RamPro’s option may not be the best exciting or versatile, there’s no denying just how much value you’re getting with your purchase of them.
